I have been looking all around, including google, sdn, acgme.org, and can't really find what I'm looking for.

I want to look up whether there are going to be any new anesthesia programs in Orlando (I figured the new med school may bring some new residencies with all of the teaching hospitals around there?).

Beyond the freida site showing you currently approved programs there's really no easy way.

You could contact the school directly or just some good ol fashioned google searching to see if you can find a news article or forum post about any new programs being started there.

Well, residencies are generally independent from medical schools, so new med schools wouldn't correlate with new residency programs. This oversimplifies it a great deal, but basically a hospital (not a med school) has to apply for a residency slot from the ACGME, and once approved, the hospital has to apply for funding. Frieda is a good place to find places with current residency slots, but probably wouldn't be the earliest source of new spots. Your best bet is to do periodic internet searches of anesthesia residency slot funding and Orlando and see if something comes up.

But they're still usually affiliated with a med school and especially in an area with a new school, they may have inside info on what's coming down the pipe since they will be involved at some level.

usf in tampa is going to be re-starting an anesthesia program with moffitt cancer center
