List will obviously grow but I don’t want to go too far from my state and I’m not looking to go anywhere fancy or competitive. I’m extremely lost on which schools to apply for. Honestly if anyone could point me in the right direction of where to start my school research would be highly appreciated.

how are you extremely lost??? You are pretty particular about wanting to stay near GA so that narrows your list down quite a bit.

your gpa is exceptional so that won’t be an issue for any school you apply to. Your ECs and DAT are average so it may make it difficult to get into “elite” schools but you don’t want to go there anyways..

So basically all you have to do is determine 1) what schools you see yourself attending and 2) if they accept OOS/GA residents. (The ADEA explorer is a great resource that will help you with this.)

There’s your list. Easy.

Adding to the previous comment. Start looking at nearby states and see what the distribution of OOS applicants is. You also can see about some private schools but your DAT will prevent you from "the elite".

I looked into a few OOS-friendly schools near me as well as schools that offer in-state tuition to OOS.
