Hey all guys,
I am FMG, Board certificated in foreign country, graduated in 2009, 3 year clinical experience in IM in my home country, with my USMLE 235/246/pass all 1 st attempts. a paper published in 2009,
I applied last September, got 4 IV in IM,but didn't secure a position.

Where is my chance if I apply this year?

Have you got any US clinical experience? How many programs did you apply to? We need more information.

Others have asked a lot of pertinent questions. I would like to know what you have done since last year to improve your application. I would think that if you did nothing else to add to your application then you are very likely to get the same result as last year.

Seems like you have solid credentials, aside from the obvious question of how much US clinical experience you have. If that's lacking, beef it up and you're probably in a good position. You're a whole lot better off than these FMGs with multiple step fails etc who post here asking about chances.

And maybe you simply need to apply more broadly...did you apply to a wide range of community and academic programs?

Your chance is in your ability to improve on use of the 5 W's.....
