Where is the growth plate located?

Is it the metaphysis or the epiphysis? I know it's called the epiphyseal growth plate, but some of my material says growth happens at the epiphyseal growth plate in the metaphysis (destroyer). In contrast, the 2009 dat says growth happens at the epiphysis

Yes, I agree that was confusing. Looks like you always have to pick "epiphyseal." I also thought that the metaphysis is the main section where the growth happens bases on some info out there.

I just did a BC bio test that had a similar question lol. It said that bone growth occurs at Metaphysis.
"metaphysis is the wide portion of a long bone between the epiphysis and the narrow diaphysis [this is the shaft of the bone]. It contains the growth plate, the part of the bone that grows during childhood and as it grows, it ossifies near the diaphysis and the epiphyses."
