I guess I will be the one to start the official list.

Please list the program and if you are going to take the interview or not. If you want also list who has denied you an interview(Bastards!!!), hopefully no program will!!!!!!

Good luck guys!!!!

are you getting interviews already?
If so, what's wrong with me???? 🙁

Thought I would join the party. I am waiting and hoping with crossed fingers and toes.. I know I do not have any LOR's in yet, but I am hoping that I'll get one anyway.

I'm sure they will come pouring in sure enough.
Best of luck!!!😀

Congrats chronicpsych14!!! Is this program on your "wish list?"

Hope that this symbolizes a tidal wave of invites for all of us. I don't have a single LOR in right now so I don't even know if I should hope to see anything with just the CAF and USMLE transcript in....but I am checking my messages daily anyway.

this is depressing. All of my stuff is in and no interviews??

Relax. WashU is notorious for sending out invites to the top tier candidates within 24-48 hrs of receiving the completed ERAS, without LOR or Dean's letters. They are an anomaly, you may not hear anything until after the Dean's letters are released and you are still fine. My only pre-Dean's letter invites were 1) my home school and 2) WashU.

Thanks MBK! That was nice to read. Thanks for reminding me to relax. Like being reminded to breath, the advice never gets stale.

hi all...

invite today from case west in ohio

i only have 2 of my LOR in so far...

one more thing i meant to say, that is the first invite out of 20 programs i applied to (my school is a little crazy) so i don't think it's anything to be worried about if we haven't heard from a bunch of programs yet, it's only early sept! (at least i hope not 🙂

The exact same thing happened this time last year: Some started getting early interviews and others were freaking out. Don't worry, this is very, very early in the season and you guys will be getting interview invites all the way into November. Trust me....😉

do they offer inteviews time-wise based on the strength of the applicant?

do they offer inteviews time-wise based on the strength of the applicant?

This is just based on my experience and "talking" to people on SDN last year....It depends on the program. Some programs will offer interviews to the whom they consider a stronger applicant first and look at the others more closely before offering interviews. What that means is really subjective. I remember getting interveiws very early and other applicants wondering what I did to get them so fast. And then others were getting interviews while my interview came very late....

Some programs, including some very good ones, will offer you an interview as long as there are no "red flags" so they can speak with you in person. some programs will basically offer you an interview as long as you have a pulse and have no glarring issues.🙄. Some programs will offer you an interview even without a pulse .

Dear All,
Clearly i was not seeing well and started a new thread on match 2007. Do not take this as defiance!!! 😳
about me, well I am a FMG from India, currently working at Hopkins as a clinical researcher in psychiatry. I am a "91/76/pass/step3 not given".
Haven't recieved any calls as of now and none of my LOR's are uploaded. The earliest 2 will be by the 15th.

Got my first interview invite today...scheduled it so they can't change their mind! 🙂

Thanks to the elders for the advice to get my stuff in early, even if the app is incomplete.

Good luck all.

Anybody know the history of the two-digit board score? I never have a clue what the two-digit ones mean. Something to do with licensing, I think.

FMG's/IMG's always seem to give their scores in two digits. Just a different scale...I think. Seems a bit useless, but maybe there's more to it. Not sure how it equates, but on Step 2:

Passing = 184 = 75

and

233 = 96

Applied 9/5 and received an invite from Emory on 9/7 without LORs, MSPE, or school transcript uploaded. I appreciate the quick invite and they definitely are among the top on my list.

don't know exactly what it means, but everyone says it is NOT percentile

i am an img and interviewed there. at the time there was only one other img and he was pgy4. i liked the program but it is competitive.

Applied 9/8:
Wash U Interview: 9/10
Vanderbilt U Interview: 9/13

So I rarely post, but I thought it might be helpful for other people who applying to these programs to have an idea whether they were inviting for interviews yet or not. Keep in mind, I applied broadly (but of course not EVERYWHERE), so I will seem like I have a lot of interviews.

9/10 - Wash U
9/11 - Case Western
9/12 - U Maryland
9/13 - Ohio State, Univ of Wash

Other helpful info: I've noticed that not all of these programs notify the applicants via messages on ERAS. 3/5 of them simply emailed me at the address I listed on my CAF without posting anything on ERAS. A couple have offered to pay for hotels. All of them have an optional dinner the night before with the residents, so I'm starting to feel like pretty much every program does that.

Best of luck to the rest of you out there!

I didn't get an interview at Univ of Wash and did apply there, so they must interview based on strength of applicant. 🙁

I was wondering if people would mind posting their stats (if comfortable with the idea) once they get interviews? I am actually not applying until next year, but I feel that it would be a really helpful thing. Thanks so much!

Any FMG's who got interview offers ? please show up .... 😕

I think the OB/Gyn forum has struck gold! - http://forums.studentdoctor.net/showthread.php?t=445867
I think we should try organizing this thread like theirs, so here goes:

Case Western: jane70, blueskies01
Emory: tennreb
Univ Maryland: blueskies01
Ohio State: blueskies01
Vanderbilt: chronicpsych14
Wash U St. Louis: chronicpsych14, blueskies01
Univ Washington: blueskies01

Case Western: jane70, blueskies01
Emory: tennreb, billypilgrim37
Univ Maryland: blueskies01
Ohio State: blueskies01
Vanderbilt: chronicpsych14
Wash U St. Louis: chronicpsych14, blueskies01, billypilgrim37
Univ Washington: blueskies01

We should organize by date of interview because interviews are offered in waves. For example, if Wash U offers another set of interviews on 10/13, then that can be added to the list to let people know that more interviews are being offered. Organizing by who got an interview will not be very useful.

Emory:
9/7
Wash U St. Louis: 9/10
Case Western: 9/11
U Maryland: 9/12
Vanderbilt: 9/13
Ohio State: 9/13
Univ Washington: 9/13

are these the dates that you are actually interviewing or when the program notified you that you had an interview?

The dates that the program offered you the interview. This way individuals know that an interview was offered on that date and thus can figure out whether on not they were in that category.

Good Sam, AZ: 9/12

Also interview from Emory but I don't know if that counts since I'm doing an away there now.

I applied to UW too and haven't heard anything either 🙁

I guess I'm lucky that I applied to 4 of the programs who are giving out interviews so early!

(not updating the list because they're all on there)

UTMB, Galveston
John Peter Smith, Fort Worth
Texas A&M Scott & White
University of Colorado

NONE of my 3 LOR are even in ERAS yet...
