Do Arizona and Tx accept a lot of out of staters?

There is much more that goes into a determination of whether a school is a good choice or not besides GPA and MCAT. Rush sets a high bar for clinical experience so check that out. SIU has a strong regional preference for southern Illinois such that you shouldn't bother if you live outside of Illinois or live in Illinois but north of I-80. Colorado is infamous for its high OOS tuition so ask yourself if you would matriculate there if it was the only offer you had and if there were no aid besides loans. Texas is a separate republic when it comes to applications so you'll want to ask yourself if you want to go into that application process as well as the AMCAS.
UChicago, Northwestern, UCSD and Hopkins put a premium on research so if you don't have significant research experience you will need to bring something quite remarkable to the table to garner their attention.

Here is some extra information:
  1. Chem- 128, CARS- 127, Bio- 127, Pysch/Soc- 128
  2. Ethnicity: Whites
  3. Clinical experience: I was a CNA and then EMT and currently work for an ambulance company (3 years), I also have over 200 hours of volunteer as EMT supervisor for my campus
  4. No Research or doctor shadowing
  5. I was a teaching assistant for two classes (Chemistry and statistics)
  6. Deans list every semester and was awarded best teacher award by my students

*look at these schools for OOS-friendliness and OOS tuition. Would you attend if required to pay (borrow) 100% of tuition and living expenses as an OOS student?

You really should do some shadowing before you apply... you might get in without it but can you really say you know anything about the life of a physician without having shadowed. If you have a parent who is a physician, then you know, but otherwise, you need to do a few 12 hour days with a doc.

Your background is better suited to PA than MD or DO. For DO you need a DO letter which means you'd need to shadow of DO.

I am going to get some shadowing in these next couple of weeks but PA school is something I'm 100% not interested in and was not shooting for at all in this process.

Make sure your shadowing includes a DO and apply to 5-6. Also, do you have non-clinical volunteering? I would apply to the Jesuit schools and avoid research heavy schools.
