Stat: 3.3GPA AMCAS, 3.5GPA AACOMAS, 9BS,6VR,10PS
Residency: FL & RI - I work in RI, but retain my permanent address in FL as my parents are living there. I'm not even sure if I qualify as a FL resident.
I listed myself as a disadvanged b/c I came to America when I was 12 (thus, english is not first language, so maybe they can be lenient with my verbal?) and my parents were pretty poor while we were here...and some other reasons.
I started out poorly in college, recieved 2 F's. So they drag my GPA down a lot, even with a strong upward trend.
Extracurricular:
+3 years full time research assistant.
-1 paper published, 1 paper is in the process of getting publish and I'm the second author
-at least 10 abstracts to national conferences for poster/oral presentation
+1 year undergraduate research
-wrote a research proposal and got a small grant from the university
-leader of my project
+roughly 10 years of helping my parents with their business as a manager
+1000hrs of clinical volunteering at 2 different hospital
+400hrs of nonclinical volunteering
+shadowed surgeons in OR
+vice president of an organization at my university
+tutored underclassmen and middle school kids throughout my years at college
+captain for various soccer team
-also played intramural sports for 4 years

Due to my strong research background, I applied to some powerhouse research med schools. Hopefully, they can look pass my stats. Here is the list with all the medical schools that I've already applied. Which school do you think it'll be a waste of $, effort and time to fill out their secondaries? Which other schools do you think I should add? Thank you so much in advance!
