D, I haven't been anywhere except Marquette. That said though, they have a great clinical school.

kind of a personal decision isn't it. I mean...given that list...I would go to UNLV so I would be close to my home and still be able to fly home every now and then to see friends and family without paying a ton of money. Plus I like their curriculum.

But if my family were somewhere else, I'd go to Nova...fun people...good social scene, warm and I personally love swimming in the ocean.

I mean...this is a weird question unless you are totally unattached to family and friends and don't plan on ever leaving the confines of the dental school for 4 years to enjoy the city you live in. Otherwise, those considerations, which only you can make cause we don't know you personally, would probably be major factors.

Thanks, idh

I just want a general opinion. I obviously won't make my decision based on the poll. Thanks 🙂

I wouldn't go to Marquette, I heard everybody smells there. J.K. I got waitlisted.

I think this thread would hurt those who didn't get any acceptance 🙁

i only know something about 2 of those schools, so i don't really feel like i can vote. where are you leaning towards?

congrats triple D. i got "no decision" at unlv. i wanted to go there so badly. does this mean waitlisted? anyone?

I agree....why are you bragging about all the offers you got...you want some opinions PM some people or ask other pre-dents. Don't post a poll thats just stupid and mean to people who don't have a choice. (I'm not jealous b/c I have lots of offers, I just know what its like to be on the other side of the coin)

Hi,

I am in a similar situation as you and have acceptances at Minnesota and Iowa and have to decide. I interviewed at Marquette as well and out of all the schools, I liked it the least. I did not feel like the students had a good handle on the material they were taught and would not feel comfortable with them working on me. The state schools will also be cheaper and have better facilities. I would say Ohio State because you will get a good education. At Marquette, I did not feel like I would fit in academically and HATED Milwaukee. Good luck with your decision, you're obviously well qualified and will become a good dentist regardless.

i doubt this person meant to be mean, and i don't think that there's anything wrong with getting advice this way. other ppl on this site realize that people have gotten acceptances, as well as multiple acceptances.

Hear, hear. We all know D; he's not out to hurt anybody. 🙂

I am seriously leaning towards case. The cirriculum is the key, it is so laid back and you still learn a ton. The tests throughout the semester don't count, they are just used to see what you need to improve on. No class rankings and COL is cheap.

UNLV is close to home and Ohio State is cheapest. Temple has one of the best clinics in the nation and Marquette seemed to have the best facilities of all of them. Oh and Nova has Shuna 😍 (maybe)

Can you see my dilemma?

I am just after opinions from trusted posters who know that I am not out to brag, but value what they have to say. I ask other friends and they say things like Vegas would be fun, Ohio State has great football and philly is ghetto. I want more of a pre-dent perspective. Thanks guys.

I'm not helping u!!!!😛

If Ohio State shares a campus with the undergraduate Ohio State, I would go there and get season tickets all four years.

All crazy party realted possibilites aside, UNLV seemed like they have a really good program and they're super high tech. If you become a Nevada resident tuition is a bargain (and apparently it's easy to do).

Hard choices to make, no?

Get out two pieces of paper. Divide them into sections for each acceptance. On one page write the PROs for each school, on the other, write the CONs. Talk to your family, health advisor, friends, fellow predents, ect. Figure out your own personal goals and decide.

This is what I am doing, and it is helping...but I imagine with that truckload of acceptances, it will take you a bit longer.

Good luck

Hey smack,

why don't you go to AZ? jk lol

UNLV with me...............?🙂

cheapest.

p.s. The ghettho is FUN! (and not as bad as Elvis' song)

If cheapest is the way to choose- I know where to go!!

Thank you 🙂

Full ride baby........

On your list, Ive only seen temple...and i thought it was an awesome school...so therein lies my vote. gl.

since i only know something about nova and case i will only comment on those 2. i would absolutely go to case over nova!!

I am leaning towards case, it will be hard to turn down any one school though. 😕

So Ohio State is edging out Case by a few votes. I would definitely go to UNLV if armor would, but it looks like he has committed to UOP.

I guess I am heading to Ohio State.

If you are a Utah applicant (I assume you are with the snowboarding pic and the "go Jazz") then you will have about 20 other students with you from Utah at either Case or Ohio State. I don't know if that is a good thing or bad thing, but I know they both have a lot of students from Utah.
My vote- Ohio State because it is cheapest, has good reputation, good city to live in.

I would say Nova, but that's because I can actually vouch for that school since I had an interview and an acceptance. I'm sure all the schools are great though. I think if it were me, it would all boil down to the location and cost of the school. Where would you rather live? Because you're gonna be a dentist no matter where you go, and if you have your heart set on a specialty, you can potentially achieve that anywhere.
