Where should I go??

I'm going to sit down this weekend with all my crap from all my schools I am looking at, and decide which one to give my deposit money. Right now, I am thinking Michigan or Columbia.

I want to get an MPH, and I also want to go to a school where I will have opportunities for leadership and can get involved in administration a little bit.

What do you think?

I didn't apply to Michigan, but I can tell you that Columbia has an amazing rep. and is very medically oriented. When we toured the clinic I spoke with a lot of students in their 3rd and 4th years and they told me not to come here with the anticipation you'll be getting intense clinical prep. The people seemed great and I don't think it is as cutthroat as people think. I hung out with the first years and they seemed to be pretty good friends after a couple months of being together.

I didn't think the atmosphere was that great because you're in a pretty dumpy area and I imagine Michigan's campus is a lot better.

In regards to MPH, I'm sure you can do that anywhere afterward. Shouldn't be a major factor in deciding which school to go to.
