Hi, so I am currently filling out secondaries and I have come to the point where I want to list something off my driver's record but there aren't any questions pertaining to it. I have a ticket for "driving with controlled substance" (something stupid that happened at the beginning of 2012) which isn't a crime and didn't show up on Certiphi after I did the check last week. Most schools are asking to list any misdemeanors or felonies but considering I have neither I am just leaving it blank. Are there any schools that use checks that are even more intense than Certiphi? The last thing I want to do is have schools think I was trying to lie to them about it even though I have been answering their questions honestly. Any help is appreciated!
Thanks!

You seriously want to report something negative on your application even though you're not required to? :smack:

If it's not a misdemeanor or a felony and that's all schools ask about it, you're not required to report it and it won't show up. I am not sure about the background checks for schools that don't use Certiphi but if it's just a ticket then even it shows up you should be fine.

You are required to be honest about the questions that are asked, not disclose every transgression you've ever done.
