Hey everyone. I'm going to be applying this cycle and I was just looking for opinions on my school list and where I have a realistic shot at getting an interview.
Here are some of my stats:

Residency: NJ
oGPA: 3.512 sGPA: 3.416
AA: 20 TS: 21 PAT: 21
150 hours of shadowing, 100 hours of volunteering, 1 year of research experience

So far I have:
Rutgers
NYU
Boston
Tufts
Temple
NOVA
LECOM
VCU
Columbia (should I even bother )
Pitt
UMD

I'm still thinking about retaking the DAT some time in August because I really want to apply to Columbia and Penn. What do you guys think? What are some other OOS friendly schools that I should be applying to? Also looking to apply to schools where I can easily gain residency after a year. Thank you!!

Your app looks good, and I'd honestly I apply to all those schools. Columbia is a reach, but it's not out of reach with those stats,
As far as I know. (Disclaimer: I know very little.) I really wouldn't recommend retaking as your scores are just fine.

Hi everyone! Sorry I know these threads are probably annoying but I need some more advice. So far I have 11 schools:

Rutgers
BU
Tufts
NYU
NOVA
LECOM
VCU
Temple
Pitt
Case Western
Maryland
UNE

I'm thinking about adding a few more. I looked up OSU and it doesn't seem too OOS friendly. I'm thinking about MWU-IL, MWU-AZ and UConn. Any advice would be appreciated 🙂

USC, midwestern(s)

you had a good chance at Rugters. Goodluck!

You DAT is high enough to get into a dental school, slim chance for an Ivy. But you never know.

Looks like you are focusing more on the eastern schools. Maybe take a look at Louisville, Pitt, and Marquette.
