I'll be applying this summer, here are my stats.
GPA: 3.65 cgpa 3.3 sgpa 3.8 Post Bacc GPA (one semester in still one to go; 30hrs total, if i get a 3.8 next semester my sgpa will be 3.5 when i apply)
I was in Honors College in Undergrad not really sure if that matters.
MCAT: 511 (balanced)
Research: 1.5 yrs undergrad; not published; also worked in research lab freshmen yr and was paid
Volunteer: Volunteer at local free clinic 1 hr/week (100 hrs total), mostly triaging patients; 3 summers spent shadowing primary care and volunteering at a non profit healthcare organization in Eastern KY (200 hrs total); volunteer in ED 3hr/week; camp counselor for drama camp for children with disabilities (2 weeks in the summer (50 hrs total)
EC: Social sorority, medical club, workout club
Work: Lifeguard (5 yrs), research assistant (1 yr)
Leadership: Volunteer coordinator in pre med club, manager at pool I worked at 2 summers in a row, founded health and fitness club
Clinical Experience: 100 hrs shadowing primary care, 20 hrs shadowing ENT doc, 20 hrs shadowing GYN oncologist, 20 hrs shadowing pediatrician (I know I probably need more clinical hours); Med Scribe 15 hrs/week
Obviously my science gpa needs some work, I messed up in undergrad and got a C in Biochem, Orgo lab, and Gen chem; haven't retaken these courses but have performed pretty well in all upper level bios (microbiology A, neuroscience A-, biostats A and genetics A- so far). Pretty much seeing if I have a chance at my MD state schools or any other MD schools.
