I notice that a lot of threads in this forum relate to personal questions such as college curriculum and managing study workload. However, why aren't that many students asking about scientific or clinical questions they have e.g. where is the macula densa located? Is there an alternate forum or page people are using?

Because 1) that can be easily googled, and 2) SDN isn’t for schoolwork/homework.

In the MCAT forum there are threads addressing specific sticky topics. Perhaps that has closer to what you’re looking for?

Dr. Sattar, Dusty Williams, and FA are there for that. It's not that complex. Just a lot to know.

There's no reason that you COULDN'T ask those kinds of questions, as long as it's not actually a homework problem... but as mentioned above, that would be a very inefficient way to find pretty basic information that is readily Google-able.
