Where to eat at NOVA?

I have an interview at NOVA on 01/06/2010 and my flight arrives on 01/05 morning. I am going to stay at Comfort Suite-Davie and I plan to take the free shuttle provided by the hotel during the time I am at NOVA. But I just found out from one of the hotel customer comment saying that Comfort Suite doesn't have a restaurant. Is that true? If so, is there any restaurant or fast food places nearby within walking distance?

Also, is the Comfort Suite-Davie the one that is closest to NOVA? Is it the one that provides free shuttle from the hotel to school on interview day???

just pick something up in the airport and take it to the hotel. I don't remember where exactly the hotel is, but there are tons of places to eat around davie/ft lauderdale, usually withing walking distance

there's a pretty good restaurant within walking distance of the hotel called ruby tuesdays. it's basically like a denny's. i had their grilled turkey avocado burger...absolutely delicious.

I just checked google map and if the Comfort-suite you will be stay in is the one on Davie Road, you can find a plaza in the corner of Nova Drive and Davie Road (SW 64th Ave). The Ruby Tuesday is in the same plaza, too. There's a supermarket called Publix, so you can get some deli there. Usually I drive around there with a car, so I'm not sure if that's a long walking distance from the hotel to the plaza. But it is fairly close.

If you are around Nova dental school, on University Drive you'll find bunch of restaurants facing Nova campus. There's Wendy's, Chicken Kitchen, Quiznos, etc.

As for free shuttles, call the hotel up and see if they provide free shuttle service. And make sure to tell them ahead of time (the day before) when you need the service.

Since my interview is on 1/6, I didnt make any reservation for hotel or flight because I feel like I might get an acceptance from other school and nova is not my number one choice. Mine was mailed on 8/17. So far I have 2 interview: nova and midwestern... waiting for others... good luck!😍

With your high DAT score and decent GPA, I think you'll definitely get into at least one dental school. Good luck to you too!

I actually just had my interview at Nova and I stayed at the Comfort Suites. I ordered Pizza Hut (the front desk has the number) and they delivered. I got the personal pan pizza, bread sticks, and a 2 liter (nice but not really necessary haha) for about $10. I think the tip was like $2. That was the only meal I had to buy (stayed two nights) because the hotel had decent breakfast and Nova had a nice lunch spread.

There's a Rubio's right down the street from the Hotel. Ask the front desk and they'll give you the directions to it.
They provide you with free shuttle service from the airport to the hotel (Call them and they'll send you a shuttle in 15 mins), from the hotel to the airport (Book one the night before your interview at the front desk), from the school back from the hotel (Make sure you take the number so that you can call them and have them pick you up after your interview), and from the Hotel to the airport (Their shuttle service starts at 6:00AM. So, if you have a flight that leaves on 7:00AM, you can't take the shuttle and you must hire a cab. It costs like 25$).
Comfort Suites is such a great place, and the staff are really helpful. You'll enjoy your stay.
