I am going to be a CA-1 this year (matched last year). My wife works for a big firm where she can easily transfer to any major cities. We are young and we don't feel tied down to any particular place at this moment. On our list, we like Seattle and a few cities in Texas. Any how, my question is if you have a few cities on your list of places to live, what suggestions do you have to learn about these cities? Do you think by visiting these cities while on vacation for the next three years is a good way to scout out these places? If so, what would you be looking for when you are visiting a city?

Look at the economic base...a city may be a great place to vacation, but if everyone who lives there is Medicare age...then.....you do the math.
