I will be entering medical school next year and am trying to decide between schools. I'm interested in Derm. Would it better to go to a school that has a derm residency program? I've heard that schools tend to take their own students. Is this true or should I just go wherever regardless of whether or not it has a derm residency? Thanks! 🙂

Deciding on which school to attend depends on many factors (one of which is obviously a letter of acceptance). All other things being equal, a school with its own Derm program is helpful. However, if your school isn't that fortunate, you can of course do away rotations in Derm.
