Can anyone recommend some apartment complexes in Omaha? I am going out there in a couple weeks and I am not really sure to where to begin looking and I don't really know the area well enough, but have been told to check out Dundee, Midtown, and Old Market areas. I have tried rent.com and apartments.com and they aren't really coming up with what I am looking for.

I think I want to live preferably 20 minutes max to Creighton (10-15 minutes would be best, maybe not possible from Dundee or Midtown?)

I would like a larger complex rather than something small with just a few units. I am not interested in renting out a townhouse, part of someones house or anything like that. It would be nice if it had a gym and residents center. Something more student oriented than family oriented. And on the newer side.

Any particular complexes that a lot of dental students live in? I appreciate any help you can give. Links to websites would be great as well if you know of any.

It really depends on how much you want to spend around Creighton (like it would anywhere else I suppose...). There are cheap apartments right around campus, but for the most part they wouldn't be in a very good neighborhood. Downtown you could find something good but it would probably be pretty expensive (relatively). Dundee, Midtown, and the Old Market would all be within 20 minutes of campus and most places in those areas would be within 10 to 15. Basically, anything east of 100th St would be within 20 minutes. It really depends on what you are looking for, though. I actually live just across the river in Council Bluffs at a place called River Park. It's about 3 or 4 minutes from campus and is cheaper than anything downtown, but is still pretty nice and actually has some green space. They've always been good to us about rent, maintenance, etc. There are a good number of Creighton students here and it is a pretty big complex, but I wouldn't necessarily say it is student oriented, since there are many other people as well. They just expanded it so there are a lot of brand new units, but even the old ones aren't very old. Not much of a gym at the complex, but Creighton has a couple of gyms you could go to. I'd definitely recommend at least checking it out if it sounds good... a lot of people don't think to look in Council Bluffs. Otherwise, Dundee, Midtown, Old Market, and anything on the East side of Council Bluffs would be fairly close to campus. I'm sure the dental school would have info on some of this stuff, too, so you can check with them as well. Good luck on the search

Thanks. I will try to call the school tomorrow and see if they have any info.

Anyone else have any suggestions to add?

I'm not too worried about cost, but I'd say around $1000 (total, including utilities) would be my max
