I have written an essay about an experience (not a case study, just a personal experience) I have had in the ED as a third year student and I'd like to publish it somewhere. Specifically, I'd like it published in the best possible place for my CV.

Do you have any recommendations?

The "New Physician" would be the easiest place to have it published, but I would prefer a more EM specific magazine/journal.
I am leaning toward the SAEM newsletter, but I would greatly appreciate any suggestions.

Thanks!

NEJM has a "Medical Education" section in the first part of the journal with news/perspectives pieces, they publish a piece by a student once every few months. That would obviously look amazing on your CV.

You could try e-mailing the section editor at Annals of EM that publishes reflections/editorials by residents and seeing if they would be interested in your manuscript.

EM Resident -- EMRA's newsletter -- has a student section, but is widely read by faculty and residents. Not sure about the relative circulation, impact factor as compared to SAEM's newsletter.
