Looking at amazon...don't want to drop $250 before hearing some opinions on which major/comprehensive general textbook (Leibel/Perez etc) is best liked.

different ones are better for different things; perez best for fields (rapidly becoming more obsolete each day) Leibel for some things generally, Gundersen for others.

i personally like leibel, but i also have cox/ang and perez. you should look through them and decide which is best for you. i have heard great things about gunderson, and the new edition should be out sometime soon. perez is even updated as well.
