I'm looking at Columbia's regular MD program and their Columbia-Basset program - is one easier to get into than the other?
Regular MD is easier (with a nice 3-4% acceptance rate). Bassett is even more selective due to how small it is (10 people) and is for people interested in rural health.
Rural health? Even though they're in an urban area?
Is the rural health program easier to get into though?

3-4% of all applicants... some of which have absolutely no business in applying to med school, much less Columbia.
So that's the 50% of the pool right? I guess then 6-8% sounds "better".
COLUMBIA? Like Spanish Harlem Columbia? HAHAHAHAHAHAH Please tell me this is the columbia in MO, cuz the columbia in NYC has no business doing "rural health."

You do your rotations at a different hospital outside of NYC. It's a very highly regarded program.
Did you even read my post?

I know this is nit-picky, but Columbia is in Washington Heights, not Spanish Harlem.
Are you even really a resident? I feel like someone who went through med school and matched into plastic surgery would know how to do a little research before making stupid claims.
Have you ever really visited New York? Go upstate if you want rural. Only people growing crops in NYC are hipsters -- and I'm not even sure if you can sell that **** without a prescription.
