Hello everyone,

I have a bit of a dilemma. Some course titles on my official transcript don't match those on the course catalog and website of my university (or the syllabus of the course).

For example, on my official transcript, a course I took is labelled "Human Anatomy" but on my university's course catalog, my university's website, and my course's syllabus, the same course is labelled "Introduction to Human Anatomy".

Similarly, another course I took is labelled as "Cell Biology Seminar" on my official transcript, but on the university's course catalog, website, and syllabus, the course is labelled "Senior Seminar in Cell Biology".

I'm unsure which one to enter in my AACOMAS application - the one on my official transcript, or the one on the university course catalog/website/syllabus? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

The one on your transcript. This is what will be used to verify.

Thank you! I have one more question:

Some of the course names on my official transcript have abbreviations. For example, "Population Health Research" was abbreviated as "Pop. Health Res.", Introduction to Spanish was labeled as "Intro Span", and University Health Research was labelled as "Univ. Health Research".

In this case, should I copy down the exact abbreviation as it appears on the transcript or copy down the name as it appears on the transcript but with the full word instead of the abbreviation? I feel some of the abbreviations may be confusing (such as corresponding "Res" with "Research"), and putting the full name may elaborate on its classification.

Type it in EXACTLY as it is on your official transcript.

It would be stupid to do otherwise because then it makes it difficult for the person to verify. They don't care what the catalog has in it. They don't care what the teacher taught. They care what the transcript states. Plain and simple.
