my school has an option called [FONT=Arial, Helvetica]BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN INTERDISCIPLINARY STUDIES to people who get admitted in a Dental/Medical School and have completed one year in Dental/medical school. There are pre reqs though (like at least 95 credits have to be done,30 credits from major etc.).
Should I go for this option or stick to my regular degree plan for a Bachelors of Chemistry and then apply for dental schools.
Also what is full time course load (12 hrs or 15/16 hrs) by the standard of the dental schools?

You should be choosing a major of which you enjoy. I wouldn't say there is any 'best' major. You should focus on achieving a high GPA, a high DAT score, and participate in several EC's.

Full time course load is entierly dependant on each university. However, what is more important is not what you university deems a full course load, but what the dental school your applying for deems a full course load. I have heard several times that you should not be taking less then 12 credits a semester. My advice is that you take as many credits as you think or know you can handle.

Also, why did you type that out your OP in a very small font? 😕

Good luck.

This is sometimes called 3+1 Program. Pretty much you 'graduate' after completing one year of dent/med school. So your last set of credits is from your professional program. At IUSD, we had 1 student get in this way. At some schools it is higher (like 3 or 4) but still pretty difficult to get accepted through that program. It is more prevalent in medical school though (and pharm/optometry school). A friend of mine who got accepted at UDM this year did that program.
