which dental text do you like?

Which removable prosthodontics text do you reccomend? Also, for endo, "pathways of the pulp" is used by many dental schools, however, I read only negative things about it on amazon. What do you have to say about those texts?

Pathways of the Pulp is a an okay text in my opinion. Of course, I haven't read anything else Endo related so I have much to judge it against other than other textbooks. Cohen taught our Endo course and I wasn't too impressed with what I saw of him (which wasn't much since I wasn't around 😀 )

For removable, we use McCracken's Removable Partial Prosthodontics (10th edition). We haven't had the course yet but I like it's layout and form.

Do you get to choose your own texts or are you just looking for some light weekend reading? 😉

McCracken is a great RPD book. Pathways is a good book, but in my opinion the second to last edition is much better than the most recent edition.

Thanks, Gavin, these are only for light reading b4 I go to bed. I read thru Pathways of the pulp last year when we had an initial endo course. I was not very impressed with it. I don't know Dr. Cohen, but never heard a good thing about him. One more thing, I ask my friend @ UOP (who just graduated 2wks ago), and she doesn't even know who Cohen is. 😴

Does your school make you do those dang goodacre videos. The next friggin one of those they make us watch I am gonna get up, walk up to the dvd player, and eject it, then snap the thing right in two.

Those are the most boring videos in the universe, hence the reason they MAKE you sign in before the video and right as soon as it is over to make sure you stay there!!!!
