Which GRE General SCOREs are good?

That's extremely vague. For PhD? For Masters? What school? What program?

The school I am applying to has an average of 1300 for their GREs. Some schools are higher, others are lower. Usually Masters programs have lower numbers than PhDs at that school. But it depends on the school and the program.

How about total of about 950 in GRE sounds for an application?Should i apply or should i retake the exam and apply?

I did apply at one of the state university master program and i did not get in, so i was wondering what scores could be good. Maybe the scores were the reason i did not get in.

OK, for a masters program, the GRE scores are generally lower, but 960 is definitely a reason you could be kept out. You should aim higher, maybe around 1200 or above.
