UCLA undergrad in Engineering GPA 3.9 (Both Science and Total)
BUT DAT AA 20, PAT 18

OR

UC Davis undergrad in Biochem GPA 3.4
BUT DAT 23, PAT 21

What do you think?

who cares. it's not possible to have both of those stats. just worry about yourself and what you can do to stand out personally.

depends on the school. uop and columbia would probably pick the higher dat kid, schools like penn and ucla would probably take the 3.9 gpa. then again you never know...either way, who cares?

It's like trying to compare the ratio of Shrute Bucks to Stanley Nickels and Leprachauns to Unicorns.

Who cares anyway...what did you do, bet your friend on how people on this forum would answer?

though i can tell you i know how HARD it is to get a 3.9 at UCLA engineering, it actually doesnt matter that much for dental school

3.4 in biochem at a reputable school (davis) is more than enough for dentistry, plus the major is in a field that has to do with dentistry instead of just a science background.
23,21 are excellent scores, shows that the test taker has put in exceptional time into his/her DAT studies

I would guess that both would get into alot of schools, however, that the 3.4/23/21 would get more interviews, and be embraced by more schools as an ideal candidate

humor the guy:

who has more shadowing hours?😀

You get a chance to choose your stats? I want to go to that school.

In reality they will both be called a dentist when they finish dental school.
you and your friend will get in somewhere.
