hello,

Im in grade 12 and this year I have to apply for universities. I was wondering if I should apply and go to the best life sciences programs out there, such as UofT and mcMaster, or should I go to a mediocre program such as Brock or York.

If you already know you want to be a doctor, McMaster Health Sci sends a disproportionately high number of students to med schools. It'd be worth applying there.

If you're going for a bio program, I'd still choose a top university over a lower-ranked one. You'll have to work harder for good grades, but you'll have better access to research opportunities and more choice over the courses you take (because a wider variety are offered).
