I only have 1 week left until by DAT and I was wondering if there are certain math destroyer tests that seemed more helpful than others. I've gone through tests 1-10 and I'm not sure that I will be able to finish tests 11-16 with practice exams and everything else I have to finish this week.

I've read on a couple threads that tests 11-12 seemed much harder and to skip them? Also would DAT destroyer QR be a good idea? I only did about 60 Q's from there before I switched to Math destroyer. Any input would be appreciated, thanks.

If you are running out of time I suggest you do 13,14,15, and 16. With 1 week left I think you can do more than just 4 tests.
Best of luck

Hi ToothHurty!

All the problems are important and on the style you could encounter on the DAT! It's a dangerous game to pick and choose what is most important. The students that score highest on the exam do all the work. Since all DAT exams are NOT the same, I am afraid I would misdirect you to say anything other than everything is important. For example, you might encounter an exam with a lot of trig, another student no trig, it's very random like that.

Take care..Nancy

How long does it typically take to go through all of the destroyer questions for math destroyer? And is it wise to do them more than once like people seem to do with the normal DAT destroyer?

Anything worth a while takes a while.

Its about 2-2.5 hours for each of the first 10 tests (including the review time).
Tests 11-12 took me a long time. I want to say 3-4 hours. I mean, when I came across p-values.. not only did I just accept the answers in Destroyer but I did a lot of searching online to make sure I understood things adequately enough that I'd most likely get a similar question correct on the real test.
Tests 13-15 (my version stops at 15) were similar to tests 1-10.

If time permits, it'd be silly not to review the tests again. That's just the thing though, usually time doesn't permit.

Depends on the student on how long it's going to take. If you are good in Math you could get through it in a week, if that's all you are doing. If you are low on time...just do the Math Destroyer and leave the DAT Destroyer math problems, don't get me wrong those problems are great too!

From years of experience I have found very few students that are strong in this type of Math MOST are extremely weak. The reason being, it is high school level math and students have been away for it for many years.

Good luck in your studies and on the DAT

Nancy

Thanks you for great advice Mr. UCLA!

Oh yea I understand. Just want to know how to ration out my time so I can finish it all and have ample time to review for the DAT! Thanks again for the advice
