I am a sophomore applying my senior year. I think I have compelling reasons for taking either, which one would you suggest?

December 2014:
It is a very known test. Nothing is known about the 2015 or how the results will vary.
I think I can effectively study the material during the summer and winter break.
I don't plan on taking Psychology or Sociology classes right now as I already have AP credit and schools might make it a requirement in the future.
Not concerned with the classes that the MCAT suggests. I'll have Physics I and Orgo I and I am as super self-studier when I want to b e.

Senior Year 2015:
Entire Junior year summer to study.
I have always been good at Psychology and I don't think it will be too hard to self study. Though, I don't know how it will be hard for anyone to study this so this might be a negative.

What do you think? Should I devote my summer to MCAT 2014?

Don't take the mcat without finishing all the prereqs, regardless of how much you feel like you can self study. It's a bad, bad idea. I don't think anyone in their right mind would suggest it. You're still a sophomore. Use your summers to immerse yourself deeper into the field. Do a summer research program, work at the hospital, or do a summer-long medical trip. Besides, when you take the 2015 mcat, everyone else around you will be unfamiliar with it. So, you're not at a disadvantage. If you were to potentially rock the current mcat version, chances are that you're gonna do great on the 2015 mcat. Don't rush.

Thanks, I won't. 🙂
