I was talking to my premed advisor and the advisor told me I should take stats because many med schools are starting to require it (I already have a year of math). I did a google search, but got back some 2007 stuff. Let me know

Buy the Medical School Admission Requirements book published by AAMC every year. It releases valuable information about every school including admissions statistics and course requirements. You can buy it here.

Thanks, but I will have to make a decision by tomorrow so the answer is appreciated

Just take it. You're better off with it.

Let me know, thanks

How about you do the research yourself. Go to every school's website and look at their admissions requirements. Don't make other people do your work.

All the UCs do, so if you're in Cali and want to stay home - you'll need to take it. No matter what you should just take it rather than risk limiting yourself.

This is last year's, so it may have changed some (as more and more schools are puttting statistics on their required list), but it lists all the schools that have a math requirement: http://www.nyu.edu/cas/prehealth/documents/MedicalSchoolswithGeneralMathRequirements.pdf

My advice? Take it even if you aren't planning on applying to a single school that requires it.

Wow thats a weird list. Its not correct, it wasn't even correct a few years ago. Maybe its pretty accurate for NY schools but it stinks for California.
