SiO2,
PCL3,
P4010,
CO2,
N02

My answer is PCL3 but it is not correct. Ionic occurs when the difference in electronegativity is greater than 1.7.
How do we know that?

Thanks in advance

on such questions, it would be impossible (or rather unnecessary) to remember each electronegative value for each element. rather you should memorize the general trend of: increasing electronegativity as you go across each periodic and as you go up each column of the table. therefore, you would want to find an element with the lowest electronegative value (furthest to the left and as far down as possible) attached to the highest electronegative value (as far right and as as far up the column possible)

if applied to this problem, the answer should be SiO2. am i right??

def should be..just remember, when they ask for ionic assume metal and non metal, which SiO2 is
