In terms of which is harder to get into (I'm an IMG, US citizen)?

Having interviewed at both programs last year, the answer, undoubtedly, is that Ohio State is harder to get into, especially for an IMG. (Note this does not necessarily mean that Ohio State is a "better" program.)

Maryland is a large program (i believe 10 PGY-1 spots), which has taken IMGs in the past, including last year's match.

Ohio State on the other hand, only has 4 PGY-1 spots. OSU tends to select residents from either their own medical school, or other MD/DOs who went to medical school in Ohio. I have not heard of OSU taking any IMGs in recent years, although they will consider qualified IMGs for interviews.

Both are different types of programs, and ultimately, you will determine which is a better fit for you. Hope this helps. Good luck with the match.
