okay heres the deal...i graduated 2 yrs ago with a 2.9 gpa. i took the mcat this april so im still praying i did well. so to compensate for the low gpa i decided o apply to a medical masters program at the com. i got accepted, now i gotta choose one to do. which would be more beneficial? med micro & immunology, biochemistry, pharmacology n therapeutics, or anatomy??? i really don't know which one will help me the most to get into med school... im leanin on med micro b/c it has some clinical experience...but biochem appeals to me as welll.....someone help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thanks... 🙁

It depends on what you want out of medical school. Are you going MD or MD/Phd? If you plan on research, go biochem. I think if you are thinking internal medicine then anatomy or med micro and immuno. Truly, I don't think it really matters. What matters is getting straight A's and re-taking the MCATs if you don't get above 30 (preferably higher than 32).

I was also a low GPAer (3.04) but got a 32S MCAT. I am waitlisted so I will be attending a post-bach as well. EVMS?
