Which path should I choose?

I am a senior in high school with a tough decision. Here it goes: I have two major options in my life. I've been accepted to the University of Detroit Mercy and Lyman Briggs College at MSU. I have many connections at UDM, and I will most likely be accepted into one of the Dental Programs there. However, my life goal is to become a doctor of Osteopathic medicine. In essence, UDM offers me security, while MSU offers opportunity. Which path should I choose?

@SXCoronado is right. Just because you know alot of people at a school, doesnt mean you will get in. Even as a trust-fund baby, there's a cut off point.

Plus, if you pick DMD, you'll be miserable and always kick yourself for not doing what you wanted to do. Why would you want that?

Personally, I'd go to any school that will make me happy and give me the best GPA (if youre still interested in a healthcare profession). Otherwise, go somewhere that will make you great connections for your future career (law, banking, business, etc)

Note: Healthcare profession isn't one that relies heavily on connections to be successful. Rather, we value academic prowess and maturity of a person.
