I haven't done this for a long time, so bare with me...Thanks for your response. I have been reading about all the schools at the aapd website and ASDA's Guide to Predoctoral Programs but was confused about the ratio thing there. For example when they say the ratio of acceptance to applicants is 1:50 and that school accepts a total of 5 that year, that means that 150 applied to that program?? but then what about those that say ratio is 1:4 and they accept at total of 10, does that really mean only 40 people applied to that program? and if so, does that mean that all 40 people got an interview? please advice. thanks.

- 1:50 = 5:250 (usually don't charge tuition, and pay their residents well, hence, more competitive to get in)
- 1:4 = 10:40 (typically you pay high tuition for these programs, and you don't get stipend)
