I see many people just telling prepharm people to choose the lowest tuition schools.

For california students, which pharmacy schools are considered "low tuition" schools?

I see many 3 year accelerated schools are around 45k-50k, so i guess it comes out to be around 200k total including the living cost.

For CA students, Many 4 year schools are ranged i believe 35k-40k, and i think they should come out the same. around 200k.

It seems like there are no schools that cost less than 35k/y for CA people.

If this is the case, isnt 45-50k for 3 year school resonable price?
(i know UOP or USC's 65-70k/y is crazy. but 45-50k for 3 years = 35-40k for 4 year? isnt it?)

3 year schools does not mean you only pay 45-50k X 3 years.

3 year school means ACCELERATED. You are still paying 4 years worth of tuition, which is 45-50k X 4 years. The programs are accelerated because you get no summer break.

3 year school does not mean cheaper. In fact a lot of them are more expensive overall.

It's always a smart idea to go to the school's website and look up the information regarding tuition and how often you have to pay it.

LECOM Erie is a 3-year accelerated PharmD which cost $24,990/year minus fees or about $100k after everything is accounted for. If you work during school, you can easily cover living expenses which will put the number more accurately at $80k.

My total debt coming out was approximately $70k which is nothing to sneeze about but certainly far less than most pharmacy graduates.

UT Austin is $7915 for 12+ credit hours per semester. Throw in about $8-10k per year for living expenses, books, lab fees, etc. As mentioned above, if you're able to work part-time as a tech or intern, that'll be less money owed at graduation

Anything <100,000k for a professional degree these days is low... How did you manage to keep you debt so low?

Worked all through pharmacy school and tutored for minimum wage at school (got paid to host review groups which I would've done for free). Earned like 10k/year but it was enough for me. Room and Board is ridiculously cheap in Erie, PA. A 3BR townhouse is about $700 whereas where I am right now... $1300 for a 2BR.

go to cheap state school, non-california apparently. work p/t, tutor, roommate, debt free in a year or so!

NO USC
