Which PhD?

Hi,

As I said in my previous posts, I am an international student enrolling this fall in medical technologist program at UCO. I would like to apply for a PhD after graduation. However, I might need your help in order to begin my research and to know what are the requirements of each PhD.

What are the best PhDs for medical research? ( discovery of new treatments)

Most admissions requirements for most PhD-awarding graduate schools are very similar. Your best bet is to simply look at the websites of the schools you would be most interested in attending; they should have information (or at least a phone number) that will explain admission requirements.

As for the "best PhDs" for medical research . . . . it really doesn't matter as long as the lab in which you perform your dissertation work is doing good "medical research" science. The quality of the lab in which you work during your graduate training is more important than the "type" of PhD you get at the end. Cell biology, Microbiology, Immunology, Biochemistry, Physiology, Neuroscience, Pathology . . . . . . it won't matter as long as you get good training in a good lab. The quality of your graduate training (and postdoctoral training) is what will help (or not) give you the skills to launch your own successful research career.
