We switched our PNB to Pajunk about 1 year ago (curl cath, and e cath). I have really struggled with the Pajunk E-cath, so easy to put in but I have had them not stay where I want them to. The catheter with the curl on the end is to flimsy (like spaghetti) and we have abandoned those as well. We have used Arrow and B Braun in the past. Probably will go back to Arrow.

I wanted to take a poll to see what everyones favorite PNB tray is, anyone just using an epidural tray?

Thank You!

Always used an arrow epidural tray but pretty much never put caths in anymore.

We use epi trays, but we're only doing adductor canal caths these days. Not sure I'd feel with the needle in the neck.

I've used Arrow catheter trays all throughout residency. Very rare I do them anymore as well. The hospital I am have nursing that freak out when they see something like that on the floor.

Does anyone tunnel these catheters in adductor canal blocks? Did that in residency. Someone didn't do that here, and the catheter pulled on chronic pain patient after a knee. Quite disconcerting.

I preferentially use Pajunk's E-cath at hospitals where its available. How do you all secure these catheters? Steri-strips + Tegaderm + mastisol?

When I do them I have been putting a stitch in. In addition to what you mentioned. I tell the patients that when they take it out to just cut the stitch off. Much less problems with migration

I like dermabond over mastisol. Not the little guy... the mega pen-size.
