Which of these three psy.d programs is considered best? and why?

University of La Verne
Adler School of Professional Psychology (chicago campus)
The Wright Institute

By best I do not mean great, I am aware that none of these programs are great. I am looking at applying to one or two of them as a safety, however, because these programs do not consider you GRE scores for acceptance. The GRE is the weakest part of my application, so I would like to apply to at least one school that places less emphasis on them. Also if anyone knows any other programs that do not place a lot of emphasis on GRE scores please share. Thanks so much! 🙂

I've never heard of the first one but the last two you can basically just sign up and go. Money talks at those places.

Sorry I just joined here and didn't figure out how to search for old posts yet.

Thanks for the feedback. So would you say a degree from one of these places is almost worthless? Should I just not bother with them?

Based on how much the degree would cost you, how much of an uphill battle you'd have for internship and postdoc, and how much skepticism you'd face from potential future employers, I'd suggest that looking elsewhere could be a good idea. But that's just my personal opinion.

The GRE certainly isn't perfect, but I'd be very, very wary of any program that didn't consider it when reviewing applications...particularly when said program costs a huge sum of money to attend.
