Hello,

My medical school has exclusively shelf/USMLE questions for all our classroom exams. I find I am able to memorize all the information but I have difficulty applying it to USMLE-style questions. I would like to order a question bank to get more practice. Should I get USMLErx or Kaplan? Or any other question banks you can recommend? I am taking Biochem, Anatomy and Histology now. I am really struggling and barely passing my classes so I am worried. If you have any advice, I would greatly appreciate it. I am not aiming to be top of the class but I need at least a 70-75% in all my classes.

Thanks!

I am able to get Kaplan Q-bank 1 year subscription for $200 with a discount from my school. Would this be worth it? Next semester I have to take Physiology/Neuroscience/Immunology/Genetics, etc..........Would the Q-bank be helpful for these classes?

Thanks!

Qbanks are designed to integrate all of M1/M2 material in preparation for taking Step 1. They won't help a first semester M1.

Study hard for your classes, use course-specific review books prn.

Pretest, lippencotts, and BRS questions are what you might be looking for.
