Pittsburgh is on the top of the list for me. I sent a number of emails, letters, and voice messages over the duration of a few months. So far, nothing in return.

NOVA. E-mailed. Called. No Response EVER!

Temple!!!!!!!!!!!

my vote is for columbia. my calls always go straight to voicemail even when i call at the recommended times and responses to email are very slow. since they don't update aadsas, i feel at such a loss for information.

I would VCU for sure...... I have never heard from them..... for all I know they never even looked at my application. They don't even make phone numbers or email addresses available so that you can't "bother them". I feel like my application fee was just a Christmas present to the adcom. lol

Pittsburg and Nova really chapped my ass by not responding to anything, letter, email, or voicemail. However, Houston, Midwestern, and LSU never left me hanging and were prompt in returning phone calls. I was able to get directly ahold of dean simonsen at midwestern and dr. pierpont at houston after my interview.

Columbia for me. you are only supposed fto call the school on wednesdays and the phone goes straight to voice mail. I've emailed a few times and got no response so I decided to withdraw my application (i wish I would have known beforehand so that I could've saved my initial $60 AADSAS fee)

definitely pitt for me too, its also one of my top choices and ive sent paper mail, emails, and called...nothing.

Boston, no contest. Except they did send out a Happy Holidays E mail... which was great.

Did they start their interviewing process late, or did it just work out that most SDN'ers were contacted later than others ?

I heard Boston doesn't even look at applications from the west coast until the east are done. Is that true?

I have no idea if this is true. But since they are a pretty expensive private school, what would be there incentive to do something like that ?

Last year for me it was UMDNJ. They sent me an email saying they received my app. but thats it. No other correspondence, not even a rejection!

Nuts to Nova. I've been calling and writing them to find out about their post-bacc. Now I know I should just give up hope.

columbia and Tufts for me..
Withdrew from Tufts.

Ditto on both counts. I'm not withdrawing my file from Tufts. They can waste their time reviewing it (if that's even what they're doing). 🙂

definitely pittsburgh... what a waste of money!

The trick is not to call Rose Mangold's direct line... call something else like financial aid or the admissions office... I did this and they were so awesome that they actually transferred me to the dean himself. I felt really special. 🙂

Columbia without a doubt. Those fools don't even bother to say my app is complete or anything and like the previous posters have stated, calling on a specific day straight to voicemail and emailing are ri-di-cu-lous!

You actually got through ? I called just about every number I could find on the internet, and all I got was voicemail.

UMDNJ. You would think with their wonderful reputation they would get back to you...jk

I never called temple (b/c I don't care about that school at all...) but they never email me any updates, never snail mail me any updates, never invited me to interview, never even rejected me....WHAT THE HELL?? I think they are the worst ever! 👎

agreed, and WVU

Temple is pretty responsive to phonecalls, though... so if you want to know what's up with them, call them.

I guess each school I applied to has been pretty good with sending me confirmation of my apps being complete and stuff like that. I don't remember contacting the schools during the process besides scheduling interviews/asking for app status, though.

UMDNJ, Pitts and Tufts.....Seriously, I have no idea what they are doing😕

yea, i think with temple you need to know who to call... i know if you call brian he will answer and/or get back to you really quickly... when i emailed him, i got a response in 2 hrs...

Nova was worthless...

detroit mercy sucks pretty bad. they dont update electronically, or over the phone. and they decided that application cycle was the best to close the office for a month to relocate

id say temple..they took my $$ and ran away!

Their greeting cards melt my heart!

Columbia was really good for me. Dr. McManus's response was quite quick via email.

UCSF was superb. No waiting on the phone at all. Their phone system has peoples' direct line.

Maryland's email took a couple days, which is still fairly quick.

Maybe schools screen for students who's flipping out.

Come on. This is clearly a gripe session

VCU and Howard didn't even acknowledge my exsistance. Although in Howards defense, I am white, and therefore not worthy of their notice. I shouldn't have even applied

That's funny...we should be calling on wednesday...however, i called on a tuesday and someone picked up the phone and told me the status of my application, "pending decision", which it's currently...no change since Dec. 1

UMDNJ... my state school... has repeatedly told me that I'm still under consideration for LAST years cycle... and never sent me ANYTHING... rejection, interview invite, birthday card, ANYTHING... Whenever I called all they would say was that they received my app and I am under consideration... So maybe they'll send me a letter this year...

VCU hands down. Then Temple. VCU was kind enough to send me an e-mail that my application was complete after I got accepted into three schools on Nov. 30th (Application submitted on June 12th). That was the first thing I got anything back from them. Temple did the same except they offered me an interview.

Pitt was always quick responding anything for me tho...sent an e-mail got a response within an hour...got lucky I guess.

wow. well heck, try and see if you can get an interview for novelty's sake 🙂

I hate to say this but UMDNJ really sucks. (Not the school, their admission office)
I was trying to update my recent address and she told me to email the new address but I have an experience which they did not do their job. So, I told her I wanna change my address on the phone in case she doesn't. Then, suddenly she asked me to wait and I was on hold for 8 minutes. 😡
It took 10 minutes to change my address. Are they really doing their job? How can they accept $75 for nothing? It's a shame on them. I love to go to the school but their office really sucks.
Sorry guys, I just wanted to express my feeling to someone😀. Anyway, Happy New year guys!!

and the winner is....... UMDNJ
I havent heard anything from them at all for two yrs in a row now.. im not even sure they really exist

VCU Takes the cake if you ask me..... here are quotes from their website

At the same time that the application is sent to AADSAS, the candidate must send VCU a non-refundable application fee of $70.00 and a personal 2x2 passport type photograph to the Office of Admissions.

We highly discourage applicants calling our office to find out the status of their application. All calls requesting such information will be directed to the AADSAS portal to identify information necessary to complete your application

So I didn't try to bother them until about a month ago I emailed the office to see what my status was. Then I called and left messages. Then I emailed the higher ups. Then I finally got someone today....... MY APPLICATION WAS NOT COMPLETE....... they had lost two of my letters that aadsas sent. They were more than happy to take the $70 and didn't lose that...... but heaven forbid they contact me with an email saying we don't have your letters of recomendation..... could you resend them. And ontop of it all: They were annoyed with me for calling today..... how would I have ever known that the lost my letters if I didn't call?

Ok sorry, done complaining. From what I understand they are a really good school and I would love to go there, it is just frustrating to feel like I paid almost $200 to be considered and then I wasn't given the chance. Thanks for listening.
