Pittsburgh is on the top of the list for me. I sent a number of emails, letters, and voice messages over the duration of a few months. So far, nothing in return.
Temple!!!!!!!!!!!
Boston, no contest. Except they did send out a Happy Holidays E mail... which was great.
Did they start their interviewing process late, or did it just work out that most SDN'ers were contacted later than others ?
I heard Boston doesn't even look at applications from the west coast until the east are done. Is that true?
I have no idea if this is true. But since they are a pretty expensive private school, what would be there incentive to do something like that ?
Pittsburg and Nova really chapped my ass by not responding to anything, letter, email, or voicemail.
columbia and Tufts for me..
Withdrew from Tufts.
definitely pittsburgh... what a waste of money!
The trick is not to call Rose Mangold's direct line... call something else like financial aid or the admissions office... I did this and they were so awesome that they actually transferred me to the dean himself. I felt really special. 🙂
agreed, and WVU
I never called temple (b/c I don't care about that school at all...) but they never email me any updates, never snail mail me any updates, never invited me to interview, never even rejected me....WHAT THE HELL?? I think they are the worst ever! 👎
Temple is pretty responsive to phonecalls, though... so if you want to know what's up with them, call them.
I guess each school I applied to has been pretty good with sending me confirmation of my apps being complete and stuff like that. I don't remember contacting the schools during the process besides scheduling interviews/asking for app status, though.
I agree with that, I don't even know why I sent money to some of these schools!id say temple..they took my $$ and ran away!
detroit mercy sucks pretty bad. they dont update electronically, or over the phone. and they decided that application cycle was the best to close the office for a month to relocate
Columbia was really good for me. Dr. McManus's response was quite quick via email.
UCSF was superb. No waiting on the phone at all. Their phone system has peoples' direct line.
Maryland's email took a couple days, which is still fairly quick.
Maybe schools screen for students who's flipping out.
Columbia for me. you are only supposed fto call the school on wednesdays and the phone goes straight to voice mail. I've emailed a few times and got no response so I decided to withdraw my application (i wish I would have known beforehand so that I could've saved my initial $60 AADSAS fee)
UMDNJ... my state school... has repeatedly told me that I'm still under consideration for LAST years cycle... and never sent me ANYTHING... rejection, interview invite, birthday card, ANYTHING... Whenever I called all they would say was that they received my app and I am under consideration... So maybe they'll send me a letter this year...
