Alrite guys, I have a few years until I go to med-school, but im wondering which is the best out of the overseas med schools. I hear so much about all these schools but its hard to get a good grasp on what school is legit and what isn't. If people could please chime in and let us know which are the best schols int following rakings: best reputation, best pass-test rate, places students in top residency programs, schools with the most USA state approved schools, and finally schools with the best living conditions of the island they are located. There are so many schools out there its hard to find out which are actually solid schools and are garbage schools. Ive heard the top are Ross and AUC but what about st mathews, and AUA and Saba and all those. What grades are normally required for admission to these schools, and where the heck are some located?? Thanks for the information, any and all is appreciated...

SGU, for the million of reasons listed in other threads, sorry for being impatient and not able to relist them all, maybe other SDNers can.

sgu is #1 for most of those criteria, but if you're looking for the best living conditions, i hear AUC is better.

If you've got a few years before applying I'd say do the whatever it takes to get in American schools MD or DO. Then look at other options. Just my $0.02

Good Luck

If possible, get into a US medical school and forget the carib route. If not:

SGU, Ross, AUC and SABA

MUA, AUA and Sint Eustatius

Otherwise, forget the carib med school route.

I tried st james for 3 weeks, and it was horrible, absolutely horrible.

I tried xavier for 3 weeks, and it was horrible, but not as horrible as st james.

I went to St. Matthews for 4 semesters, and it was horrible, just horrible.

Best wishes!🙂

Did you go/attend all these med schools as a student? where are u now and how are you able to pay for all this schooling and why do you keep leaving schools? Just curious...

I personally would do it iike this.

-The good US of A.

-SGU
-ROSS
-AUC
-SABA
-SMU or MUA

Yes, I tried st james and xavier for 3 weeks each and was @ SMU for 4 semesters. Financial aid gets me through. All three suck!!! Horrible schools in my opinion. Best wishes!🙂
