Which schools accept transfer students (domestic transfers)? Can you transfer to another school after D1 at a school?

I don't think so. There has to be some serious circumstances for a school to consider it. All of the curriculum is so different everywhere it would make it pretty tough.

We have a transfer in our class. They have to take 1st year over again, but do not have to take some of the classes (anatomy, physiology, histology, oral histology, etc)

at my penn interview, the students said one girl in their class had transferred. i dont know where she transferred too though. its possible though at a few schools at least.

That's my question! My husband is a 4th year medical student at Indiana Univ. and finds out where he matches for residency in March. Although IU is his first choice, the match process is really out of his control. I have been accepted to IU dental school and plan to attend there for at least my first year. But, if my husband is in another state for residency, I will have to transfer to the dental school in his area. Hopefully dental schools will be sympathetic to that circumstance. Still kind of stressful!

as i mentioned in my previous post, someone transferred out of penn, and the students said she transferred because she was getting married. so i guess its a valid reason. hopefully he gets matched close and you dont have to worry about this.

I talked with a girl at Tufts who had transferred from North Carolina. So obviously she was able to do it. She was married to another guy at Tufts but I'm not sure if that happened before/after her transfer.

I know for sure that UCLA does not allow transfering.

Tufts does, I am pretty sure about this.
