I heard that U of Penn requires a secondary application along with the one that goes to AADSAS. How about the other schools? Someone in an earlier thread mentioned going to the application itself and printing a page out that lists this information. I tried and I can't find it. Any help will be appreciated.

All the school i applied to sent the secondary in the mail about 2 months after i submitted my AADSAS. The only exception was Arizona, which e-mails you a link and password to their online secondary.

Thanks - you are right. I do know that most schools will send you secondary information AFTER they receive the info from AADSAS. But if there are schools out there that want them ALONG with the AADSAS application (like U of Penn) I want to make sure I'm not missing this information.

I've noticed that most schools want letters of recommendation at the same time that you send in your AADSAS application. However, my advisor will not send my composite letter through AADSAS. He wants to wait until I receive each school's secondary apps in the mail, and then send the letter to each school individually. Has anybody done this before? Will it work out? I figure that I might as well wait on the application fee as well, since they probably need both of these items to process my application...

Am I right in assuming that for EVERY school, when they get your AADSAS application, they will mail you and let you know exactly what's missing?

I know some schools will send you this info, some schools don't. I applied extremely late last year, like the last day in Dec and I never took my DAT so it was a waste. Right off the bat, I received 2 letters from schools indicating I was missing one LOR (I knew about it), and out of the 4 schools I applied, only 2 let me know what I was missing, the other 2 didn't indicate anything. I don't understand why your advisor is doing that. IMO, he's messing up your chances. There's lots of stories about people applying late and getting in, but like a previous member indicated, the best chance you have is to apply as early as possible.

Penn Dental Supplemental Application for Admission - this application is mailed to an applicant upon request from the applicant or upon receipt of the official AADSAS application at Penn Dental. Essay portions should be typed. Submit the Supplemental Application (Part I and Part II) directly to the Penn Dental Admissions Office.
