Hello folks. Got a question for you. Right now I've only had one interview and am due for a re-review in mid Jan. It's at Iowa, which is where I am a resident.

I start the spring semester of my senior year of undergrad Jan 22nd, so I have until the 21st to register for classes. I'm in quite a conundrum. I need just 13 more credits to graduate. I have already signed up for Organic Chem Lab (3 credits), College Physics II (4 credits), and honors investigation (3 credits). Now if I had already been accepted, I would have just signed up for one more bs 3 credit class. But if I knew I wasn't going to get accepted, I would sign up for 2 more tough science classes, and if I do really well that would be great for my application next year. But since I don't know what my fate is regarding this application cycle, I'm asking you guys. What should I do? Thanks in advance.

plan for the worst and take the extra course. it definately wont hurt and tuition will be the same. you can always drop the class if you are find out you're in

Quick question first. What the junk is that honors investigation class? Is it research? Do you have to take it? If not, drop that sucka and get yourself into two tough science classes. If not, take one and seriously consider putting yourself through hell and take the two on top of what you're thinking about taking. Two things can come of taking the 5 classes overall in the spring, (1) Your application will have a great exclamation point on it when you have four tough classes with great grades on it or (2) you find out your in somewhere and you either drop a class (if you have time still) or take those classes a little less seriously, get a C or something, and take that last little bit of learning as help for your first 2 years of science classes. GL.

Any courses that cover topics you will cover in dschool are well worth taking...take the extra science courses, the extra work now will enable you to not work as hard later...or to at least distribute your time and energy elsewhere if need be

have you heard back about another interview from Iowa? I am an Iowa resident with almost the same exact stats, but no news yet. please inform me if you have one and congrats

Thats right man, but focus on your interview, thats the most important.
If your rejected, dont worry, you still have another year to go and to make your application even better. Now if you get accepted, wooohooooo congrats 😛 take 1-2 and enjoy your time outside of school before you walk into flames hahhahaha
