🙄 sarcasm inherent, but strangely intriguing 🙂

I'm not a guy, but anything less than a full windsor is half-assing it.

Of course, you could always go for the bowtie option. Bowties are sexy.

I have no idea, base on the description of the site, I am somewhere between half windsor and windsor. I think I do windsor most of the time, I didn't realized that there were other style.

Yeah, I seriously didn't know there was more than one way until I saw that site. And after seeing the site, I don't think I use any of those ways. Maybe I do though, not good at using diagrams.

I'm a big fan of the full windsor myself. I used to use the half, but once you go full, you'll never go back

Four in hand is all I've ever done. Didn't know its name until now.

I can tie a tie, but I'm much better at tying bowties. Because my father only ever wears bowties. And he wears them every day. 🙂 I guess it might be a southern thing.

Bolo, black sport coat, jeans, cowboy hat. chewing tabacco.

It's cool that web site noted that the weight and thickness of the tie is important too. a thicker, more structured tie can get excessively bulky in a full windsor just like a thinner or lighter material tie can look sorta silly in a four in hand.

that said, i'm wearing a clip on. 😎

I've been unknowingly using four in hand but I like the others... four in hand usually doesnt seem bulky enough...it always seems to lean to one side or the other...if that makes sense. I think i'll try full or half windsor

By the way, while we are talkin...anybody have any suggestions about sideburns...I really dont want to shave them but I think i will...they are down to my ears? what to do? 😕

Depends on the tie, the shirt collar, and how adept you are at tying knots. If you misattempt a full windsor on a small-collared shirt and the knot is too big, you'll look like a clown.

I don't know what you are all talking about. I hate the full windsor. I see a guy with a full windsor and I predict they are pretentious, closed off, one-dimensional, and likely to engage in stereotyping.

Doing the Miami Vice look, all the way down to the lack of socks and pastel jacket with sleeves pushed up above elbows...

very nice. of course, if you want to go more stylish, you can always change the pouch of beechnut, to a tin of copenhagen.
