Let’s have a fun discussion about ties! Which one do you guys like?

Disclaimer: yes I know at least one of them is a no-no, and I’m either gonna go with the Navy or (more) solid purple.

Solid Navy works for me. If you watch politicians chatting on C-SPAN, very few will wear patterned ties for whatever reason. (I can always be proven wrong, but that's my observation on the topic.)

men should be allowed to have fun clothes, none of these are unprofessional, whatever you like best : )

I like #5, but personally i feel that these ties lack enough contrast, and perhaps that's an issue with the lighting. When I bought my suit (navy) the associate said red and gold are the complementary power colors for ties. I know those are traditional but they just appear more striking imo.

Some patterns can look odd and be unpleasant to look at depending on the cameras and TV/displays used. It's less of an issue for in-person interviews but I'd avoid anything that would be distracting.
