Would you be surprised if I told you that both people would be accepted?I've heard that many hours is good for volunteering. However, I've also heard that med schools want to see that you committed to a volunteer program for a long time.
1: Person A has volunteering experiences in only three causes/programs/organizations with a similar theme both clinical and nonclinical that total 400 hours but this student has been continuously involved with these causes/programs/organizations for his years throughout university.
2: Person B has volunteering experiences in six different causes/programs/organizations both clinical and nonclinical with different themes that total 800 hours but this student has worked with each organization for just around a semester each before moving onto a different organization
