hello everybody!
i am an IMG amd ecfmg certified doctor but since i have been trying to get into residency since 2 yr but not able it really sucks 😡,
i have given GRE by this time and got my results too,
now i am planning to continue my further career in any of the medical subspecialities or enroll phd program in pathology ,

PLz plz can anyone help me what to do next and which university could be of help?

It will be a lot easier to get into a PhD program in the US as a foreign citizen than to get into a residency. If your GRE score is good, you can probably get in to a PhD program without too many problems.

You haven't really given us much information about yourself, such as past studies, USMLE score, GRE score, your age and what you would like to do in your career. Do you just want to immigrate to the US, regardless of what job you would be doing? If so, then doing some sort of science graduate degree (MS or PhD) would definitely be easier than getting a US medical residency.

Yes your info is a bit scarce. One thing I can safely say is that if you perform well during those 4 Phd-years, that will be a bonus when/if you decide to reapply for residency. But be sure to keep contact with some clinical medicine, or you'll forget most of that stuff.

Thank u so much for the suggestion.

actually my step 1 score is 87, step 2 ck 94 cs passed step 3 78 and gre i didn't get good score total of 900 so folks could u suggest which way should i go for i am mostly interested in pathology or biomedical science. and could anyone suggest which university should i apply by this time for 2009?
