White vs Other

I hope this is the right place to ask...

I'm Persian/Iranian and am wondering what the best options to mark would be on the "Self Identification" section on AMCAS.

I feel like I have three options:

1. White only
2. Other ("Persian") only
3. White and Other ("Persian")

Statistically, do people who solely mark "Other" as opposed to "White" have better chances?


I know that "whites" and "persians" are advantaged in the medical field, but was wondering which was more advantaged than the other.
