!@#$@#$! mandatory attendance !@#!@$!#$ 😡 😡 +pissed+

I found myself skipping most of my lectures (About 60-70% I'd wager). For me, I found the lectures not very helpful since they were just rehashing the material in the notes. I myself found the content of the material easy enough, but the difficulty lay in the quantity of material. All too often I'd just cruise though lecture being like "Uh huh, yeah, I get that. Yep, I get that too. I understand that, yeah". Then after lecture, I'd go home and then be like "WTF, why don't I remember anything about today's material". Sitting though lecture didn't help my memorization of the material, so I ended up skipping lecture.

I tried to give the lecturer the benefit of the doubt. If they actually taught (not just read their powerpoint slides) and they could speak clearly, I'd stay. If I knew that they were horrible lecturers, I wouldn't go at all. This usually amounted to me attending about 40% of classes for the Spring semester.

Considering it's only been one day, my stats will slide fast. 🙄

I was diagnosed this summer with narcolepsy, so it was useless for me to go to lecture and sleep. Now that I'm taking Modafinil (Provigil), I should be able to stay awake through them. At least I am going to try to go.
